Who is Melis Kaptanoğlu?

Melis Kaptanoğlu was born as the youngest of three daughters to a father who loved the sea and a mother who cherished nature. She was born and raised in Istanbul and began her educational journey at Şişli Terakki High School, from which she graduated. Her tertiary education took place at Koç University, where she graduated from the Sociology Department.

In parallel with her academic pursuits, she also attended a conservatory. Following a successful and active student life, she married Cenk Kaptanoğlu at the age of 21 and is the proud mother of three precious daughters: Alara, Leyla, and Melissa.

In 2008, inspired by her daughters, she founded the "Melis Kaptanoglu Kids" brand, taking on the roles of founder, designer, and creative director. Melis Kaptanoglu Kids has showcased in a total of six fashion shows: two at London Children’s Fashion Week, two in Moscow and Ukraine, and two in Istanbul. The brand has dressed renowned children at numerous red carpet events globally.

With her extensive experience in the fashion industry, she launched Melis Kaptanoğlu Women’s Luxury Ready to Wear in 2021, designing timeless pieces for women.

Above all, she is deeply devoted to her family. She's passionate about sports, art, travel, and healthy living, and is known for being meticulous, detailed, organized, and proactive.
